William Thompson review of The Viper Contract. “The flying scenes are exuberant and the dog fight scenes are truly exciting. I’ve rarely seen written action scenes made as vivid and suspenseful as yours.”

The 127,796 word mainstream thriller (macho high-flying adventures) is about a retired USAF F-16 pilot who flies business jets as a contract pilot. He is recruited by the CIA to infiltrate a mercenary F-16 squadron and stop a nuclear strike while at the same time he is working for the enemy. It is executed with some original ideas (the villains are brilliant in their ingenuity), a tough but believably flawed protagonist, and, most important, great flying scenes. The book features a lot of aerial action, told from a cockpit perspective that is unique.
Whereas most fighter pilots THINK they are God's gift to flying, former USAF Lt. Col. Colin Pearce pretty much IS. The women are all beautiful and have high sex drives, although some of them employ sex not just for pleasure but as a weapon for their own purposes, which Pearce has an inkling of but can't quite figure out.
